Support
If something gets in the way,
we will work through it.
Feat runs on iPhone, iPad, and modern desktop browsers. If a problem continues, email info@featstudio.app with your device, operating-system version, and the step where it happened. You do not need to send your audio file.
The app does not open on iPhone or iPad
- Feat requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
- Check the App Store for an update, then open the app again.
- If it continues, send us the device model, iOS version, and the exact error message.
An audio file will not import
- Use MP3, M4A, or WAV.
- Tap card A or B and choose the file through the system picker. On the web, you can also drag the file onto a card.
- Very long or high-resolution files can exceed device memory. Try a shorter copy.
- Protected files from music-subscription services may not be available to Feat.
The analysis does not match what I hear
BPM, key, and section detection are automatic estimates. Silent intros, tempo changes, live recordings, and heavy effects can change the result. Use the timeline, speed, and pitch controls to adjust it manually.
Vocal/instrumental separation sounds imperfect
- High-quality mode uses GPU-based Demucs separation, but live, heavily reverberant, or densely layered mixes may still contain bleed or artifacts.
- Feat asks for temporary-processing consent before upload. The source is deleted when processing ends and results within 60 minutes.
- If the service is unavailable, the quick on-device beta can still be used; that approximate method is not suitable for mono or narrow-stereo material.
The microphone does not work
- On iPhone or iPad, enable Feat under Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
- On the web, allow the microphone from the browser's site permissions.
- Make sure another app is not using the microphone. Headphones help reduce feedback while recording.
WAV or video export takes a long time
Feat renders exports on your device. Long songs, many clips, and 60-second social videos need more memory, free space, and time. On iOS, the completed file can be sent from the share sheet; WAV files are also saved under Files > On My iPhone/iPad > Feat. Keep the app or web tab open until the export finishes.
A saved project will not reopen
- Make sure the browser has not cleared site data or entered a storage-restricted private session.
- On iOS, avoid removing Feat's app data if you still need local projects.
- If the project was created by a newer Feat version, update the app or reload the web studio before trying again.
The web studio does not load
- Reload the page and use an up-to-date version of Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
- Private browsing, strict content blockers, or a managed network can restrict required browser features.
- If the studio loads blank, check that JavaScript is not blocked for featstudio.app.
Where is YouTube import?
The App Store build and public web beta do not download from YouTube. Feat focuses on editing your own files and audio you have the right to use.
Content and copyright
Upload only audio you have the right to use. Feat is not a music catalog or licensing provider. Read the terms of use for details.
Privacy and data
Editing and projects stay on your device. Only when you approve high-quality separation is the selected track sent for temporary GPU processing. See the privacy policy for the data flow and deletion periods.
